The increase in the prices of non-ferrous metals continues

In the field of non-ferrous metals, the rate of price volatility remains high. Furthermore, it is affected by a strong rise in the price of nickel and aluminum in particular, in the face of growing demand and increasingly reduced availability. For this reason, companies in the industrial sector warn to avoid a risk of inflation increase.

The LMEX Index closed down, driven by copper which stood at $ 9,552.20 a ton on the London Metal Exchange (LME), with a contraction of -3.20% compared to May.

For nickel, on the other hand, we are witnessing a recovery in prices: the price in June reached 17,909.00 dollars, up by 6.72% compared to the previous month.

Turning to zinc, the values rise to 2,986.50 dollars a ton with a 1.87% increase compared to May.

Among the non-ferrous metals on the rise, we find aluminum, which again sees an increase that stands at 2,458.50 dollars a ton, with a positive monthly variation of 6.63%.
